Vivekanand Education Society launches BCom in e-commerce

Vivekanand Education Society College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (VESASC), which runs 26 institutions in Chembur, Mumbai, has launched three new autonomous courses  — BCom (finance), BCom (e-commerce) and postgraduate diploma in medical laboratory technology. The BCom (finance) course incorporates the fundamental information and knowledge of a traditional BCom along with specialised subjects such as finance, banking, and investments, according to a statement released by the college.

The BCom (e-commerce) is said to impart fundamentals that can help e-commerce businesses grow. It focuses on marketing, digital marketing, accounting, finance, strategy, pricing, and analytics. ​Additionally, it will also enable students to acquire entrepreneurial, administrative, legal and managerial skills. 

The PG diploma in medical laboratory technology offers students thorough knowledge about laboratory equipment and laboratory diagnostic procedures. With the help of this course, students can pursue careers in the management of operation theatres, healthcare clinics, government and private hospitals, and medical and research laboratories, a release from the institute, said. 

Speaking about the courses, Anita Kanwar, Principal, VESASC, said, “We are excited to be launching these new-age courses for students, that are in keeping with the tradition of furthering education with changing times, at VESASC. The courses are designed by subject matter experts and senior, experienced faculty members who have a thorough understanding of the industry as well.
