Highly demanding work cultures can lead to stress and the risk of burnout

How and what is your current job situation? Are you excited to go to work everyday? With a big smile radiating a mile away, are you one of those employees who love what they do and do what they love? Or do you dread walking to your office, dread those banal and long hours each day has in store for you?

At the moment, 25 per cent of employees look at their jobs as the immediate factor leading to the stress in their lives, according to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. Even the World Health Organisation has described stress as the “global health epidemic of the 21st century.”
