Earth Overshoot Day arrives earlier than ever

Overshoot day is when we have spent all the interest on the planet’s ecological bank account

With every passing day, we humans are sucking dry the natural resources of Earth, and at an alarming rate. As of yesterday, we have used as much from nature in 2016 as our planet can renew in a whole year, which means we are dipping into our capital reserves to survive.
