Practo raises $90mn in series C funding

The funding will help Practo in its expansion plans

Healthcare platform Practo raised $90 million (₹574 crore) in Series C funding, according to an article on The Hindu. The round was led by Tencent, with participation from investors including Sequoia India, Google Capital, Altimeter Capital, and others.

This comes a few months after the company closed a $30 million (₹191 crore) Series B round of funding. After the three series of funding, total funds raised by Practo is $125 million (₹797 crore).

Practo plans on expanding the product lines and look for potential acquisition of companies over the next three to six months and also looks to expand its team.

It also said that it planned to expand expansion from the current 35 Indian cities and three countries to over 100 Indian cities and 10 countries across South East Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Eastern Europe, according to the article.
