Robots get married in Japan

The wedding was organised by an art collective Maywa Denki, founded by two brothers, Masamichi and Novmichi

While the US celebrated newly achieved right to same-sex marriage, a different kind of celebration went on in Japan's Tokyo. Frois and Roborin, who happen to be robots were married in a ceremony officiated by the emotional humanoid robot Pepper, Mashable reported.

The two robots shared a kiss too, said the report.

The wedding was organised by an art collective Maywa Denki, founded by two brothers, Masamichi and Novmichi.

Todo Takayuki, a robot inventor, is father of the bride - Roborin. Takayuki has given Roborin a face modelled after a Japanese girl group star, Yuki Kashiwagi. Maywa Denki created Frois.

Mashable reported, the wedding was attended by 100 priveledged guests, who paid 10,000 yen to become part of the event.
