Accenture is top summer recruiter at FMS; hires 12 interns

Most summer offers came from the marketing domain, while e-commerce internships saw a 60 per cent jump

Accenture Strategy has become the top recruiter at Delhi University's Faculty of Management Studies, hiring 12 interns from the batch of 207 students.

The institute also saw a jump of 60 per cent in the internship offers from e-commerce domain with 24 offers in 2015 as Amazon and Snapdeal hired 8 and 7 interns each this year. Just 15 internships were offered in e-commerce domain last year.

Other top summer recruiters include TAS, Vodafone, HUL, Axis Bank, Reliance, and Alshaya which recruited 5 interns each.

A total of 76 companies recruited for the summer training stint from the FMS campus with a median stipend of ₹75,000 per month. The highest stipend offered was ₹2 lakh per month.

Most offers came from the marketing domain, with 89 students getting internships as marketers. Some of the firms offering marketing internships include Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, ITC, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, RB, Godrej, Britannia, Mars, and Loreal.

More than 45 offers came from the BFSI space. Morgan Stanley, Espirito Santo and Avendus Capital hired for front-end investment banking roles. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, Citibank, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Bank of America and DBS hired 31 students.

About 25 summer offers came from the consulting domain, with Accenture Strategy, BCG, Capgemini, Cognizant, EY, and KPMG picking up interns for the coming year.
