An extravagant marketing festival at MICA

Themed “Evolve”, this year's annual festival witnessed several competitions and performances

MICA’s annual marketing festival, MICANS, witnessed the most number of registrations for its events from across top B-schools, the institute said. The theme for this year’s festival “Evolve” saw a plethora of events — panel discussions with keynote speakers, marketing competitions, workshops, start-up related competitions, and performances by famous artists including Ritviz, Ankur Tewari and the Ghalat family, and Benny Dayal.

The highlight of the first day was students getting an insider’s perspective about advertising, branding and strategy through a conversation between Adman and filmmaker R Balki with Prof Falguni Vasavada Oza.

Competitions, workshops

Day two kick-started with competitions such as like last manager standing, Ingenium — the general knowledge quiz, battle of the brands, and the kingmaker-political marketing case study challenge.

The students engaged in a conversation with Sharda Ugra, a sports journalist who gave insights on sports marketing. Workshops on content creation and strategy, sonic branding, and web content were held.
