Anna University student wins Ford’s Alan Mulally Leadership Scholarship

Ford Fund manages the programme as part of its global Ford Blue Oval Scholars initiative

Ancy Philip, an engineering student from the department of Computer Science of Chennai’s Anna University has become the first Indian recipient of Alan Mulally Leadership in Engineering Scholarship in India.

The $10,000 scholarship is part of Ford Motor Company’s global initiative to honor the outstanding service of Alan Mulally, the company’s former CEO. Starting from this year onwards the Alan Mulally Leadership in Engineering Scholarship programme will award 10 one-time $10,000 scholarships each year to students at partner universities around the world.

Ford Fund will manage the programme as part of its global Ford Blue Oval Scholars initiative. Scholarship winners will be connected with the company’s corporate science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) strategic initiative that aims to build a new generation of leaders in these disciplines.
