Aptech forays into BFSI segment with Banking & Finance Academy

Plans to add to it, more programs for other financial services sectors

The education company Aptech is foraying into BFSI learning and training sector by setting up the Aptech Banking & Finance Academy .

The Aptech Certified Banking Specialist (ACBS) program offered by the newly opened academy has been designed to offer new age banking skills in front office and banking operations. The course will be initially offered in select 21 centers this year but will be expanded to 100 centers by next year. Aptech also plans to add more programs for other financial services sectors under the same course.

“BFSI is one of the fastest growing sectors in India. While the Indian banking industry expected to become 3rd largest in the world by 2025, the biggest hurdle in its way of growth is the lack of skilled human assets, said Anuj Kacker, Executive Director, Aptech in a statement. “We have taken up this mission to fill this skill deficit in the industry by empower 5000 people every year with the skills required by a Certified Banking Specialist.”

The ACBS program offers a curriculum that has been curated specifically to meet the changing skill demands of the BFSI sector using learning activities based on case-studies and live market scenarios.

The course aims to impart a wider assortment of skills suited for enhanced employability quotient sought by private banks, NBFCs, and allied sub-sectors like gold loan entities, DMAT service providers, housing loan companies, broking firms and insurance companies. After completion of course, young professionals can get a job in sales, relationship management or core banking operations profile with skills to work as a Certified Banking Specialist.

BFSI is one of the fastest growing sectors in India. The Indian banking industry is expected to become the 3rd largest in the world by 2025. Public sector banks contribute to the maximum business in India. The private sector banks, however, have increased their share in the past few years by capturing 30 per cent of market.

Aptech has been the providing training and education in the animation & VFX, media & entertainment, IT & Education, hospitality & aviation, hardware & networking sector, and now, with this new business vertical- Banking and Finance as well.
