Be clear about your vision, develop tenacity to succeed: Puneet Jain

The MD of IHS Markit was speaking at ICFAI B-school’s convocation; 337 students graduate

“Having clear goals and vision helps to remove obstacles on your way to achieve success and one must develop tenacity to overcome the difficulties,” said chief guest, Puneet Jain, Managing Director of IHS Markit. He was addressing the students of ICFAI Business School Bangalore during the convocation held on June 22.

Jain said that constant learning and upgrading skills are most critical in the rapidly changing corporate world.He said students should become transformational leaders who embrace change in the constantly changing world, rather than being transactional leaders who merely maintain status quo.

Pursue your passion

Purnima Menon, Chief Marketing Officer, Microland, said, “No job role is small or big and every role accords you with special abilities.” She said that students should not to let their interest and passion wither away due to mundane work, adding that pursuing their passion would keep them healthy and fit to contribute well at workplace.

GV Muralidhara, Director, ICFAI Business School Bangalore, presented the convocation report and highlighted the important developments and achievements. He stated that the GHRDC B-School Survey, 2018, ranked IBS Bangalore sixth among the top private B-Schools of super excellence in the country, and fourth in Karnataka among government and private B-schools.

A total of 337 students were awarded certificates for successfully completing the Post-graduate Programme in Management (PGPM). Some 160 companies participated in the placement process, including many new entrants.
