HUL top recruiter at IIM-A summer placements

Over 50 firms participated in the process; Mondelez makes six offers

The second cluster of the summer placement process for the PGP class of 2021 was held at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, on November 5. The firms that participated in cluster two comprised of six cohorts — advertising and media, consumer electronics, consumer goods, consumer services, general management and leadership, and retail.

Over 50 firms participated in the process. HUL was the top recruiter with 14 offers. The top recruiter in the advertising and media cohort was GroupM with four offers. Samsung Electronics made the highest number of offers in the consumer electronics cohort — seven. Consumer goods included regular recruiters such as AB InBev, Coca-Cola, General Mills, HUL, ITC, Kimberly Clark, Mondelez, Nestle, P&G, Reckitt Benckiser, Saint Gobain and Wipro Consumer Care.

New recruiters included Colgate Palmolive and Dabur. After HUL, the recruiter with the next highest offers in the consumer goods space was Mondelez — six. Airtel was the top recruiter in the consumer services cohort with five offers. The general management and leadership cohort saw participation from recruiters such as Aditya Birla Group, C K Birla Group, Mahindra Group, Reliance India, RPG Group and TAS. Top recruiter in the general management and leadership space was Aditya Birla Group with seven offers. In the retail B2B and B2C space, firms such as Amazon, Cloudtail, Flipkart and Udaan recruited. Amazon was the top recruiter here with nine offers.

The third round of placements will be conducted on November 7.
