Human capital is the topmost priority of chief executive officers and Indian School of Business (ISB) is driving industry-relevant applied research and executive education in this regard, according to Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB.

He was speaking at the 2nd annual Human Capital & Leadership Initiative ( HC&LI) meet at ISB held at the Institute on Friday.

More than 30 leading Chief HR Officers (CHROs) from well-known companies across India participated in the day-long event and deliberated on the overall theme of Leading Human Capital into 2020s: Decoding the Digital Discourse.

Practice Professor Chandrasekhar Sripada, who is also Executive Director of ISB’s Human Capital initiative outlined four relevant themes for the 2020s. He identified them as organisational agility, new mindsets for the future, new approaches to leadership development and building inclusion and diversity.

“Evolving digital technologies will have a massive transformational influence on enterprises in the 2020s and, in that context, key human capital strategies need to be reimagined to both enable and leverage digital technologies better,”' he added.

The event started with a keynote conversation between Professor Madan Pillutla of London Business School and Anantha Sayana, Chief Digital Officer of L&T. In this big picture conversation, the speakers discussed a wide range of real-world issues and challenges around how to drive digital transformation of organisations, according to a release.
