ICFAI inks pact with MassMutual India

The partnership aims to launch mentorship and training programmes, and offer internships to ICFAI students.

ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Deemed University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the financial services company MassMutual India, at ICFAI Hyderabad campus. The MoU seeks to launch MassMutual mentorship and training programmes for the students of ICFAI University.

MassMutual aims to support higher education and research through campus outreach programmes such as internships, either paid or otherwise, which later can be considered for full-time employment depending on the candidate’s performance.  As part of the MoU, in-house experts at MassMutual India identify mentors to support entrepreneurial efforts of ICFAI students. 

“The mentors were responsible for transforming their ideas through hackathons, master classes (knowledge sharing sessions), coaching, mentoring and solution’ing sessions,” a press release from the institute, said. Ravi Tangirala, Head, MassMutual India said “We are extremely thrilled to sign this MoU with ICFAI and contribute to the campus talent ecosystem in Hyderabad” .

Dr J Mahender Reddy, Vice Chancellor – ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, said, “The agreement with the renowned organisation MassMutual is a great value-addition to ICFAI and its students. It will further enhance mentorship and internship activities.” Dr Vijayalakshmi, Registrar; Dr CS Shylajan, Dean, ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad; Ravi Tangirala and faculty members of ICFAI participated in the MoU ceremony.
