IIM Indore holds talk on entrepreneurship

IIM Indore, in collaboration with Jain Engineer’s Society (JES), Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) and Jain Social Group (JSG), organised an expert talk on entrepreneurship on February 10. The main speaker was Prof DL Sunder, Faculty and Chair - Entrepreneurship Cell, IIM Indore. Other delegates included S Bhagwat Nagori, Secretary, JITO; Prof Abhishek Mishra, Faculty and Chair - Industry Interface Office, IIM Indore; Rajendra Jain, Chairman, JITO; and Pradeep Jain, Chairman, JES.

The event began with a welcome speech by Nagori, who discussed entrepreneurship and its distinctive attributes. This was followed by an address by Tapan Jain, who discussed the importance of such lectures about entrepreneurship, and how they help encourage the youth to become entrepreneurs. Prof Mishra then briefed the audience about the Industry Interface Office, its mission and various activities being conducted by the department.

Prof Sunder then delivered the expert talk. He discussed the various subjects taught to the students at IIM Indore and their importance. He said he believes that good academicians are those who learn from their surroundings and then teach students. He delivered his views on start-up businesses and the idea of business modification to survive a competitive market. The talk concluded with a Q&A session.
