IIM Kozhikode signs MoU with Brunel University, London

Institutions sign MoU on collaboration in education and research

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Brunel University London to collaborate in the areas of education and research. The signatories of the Mou are Prof Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIM-K and Prof Rebecca Lingwood, Provost, Brunel University.

The tie-up is aimed at promoting cooperation and advancement of international understanding between both the Institutes. It underlines the shared objectives of development and promotion of research collaboration in areas of mutual interest; exchange of faculty (staff), scholars and students; sponsoring of cooperative seminars, workshops and development and delivery of training programmes. This MoU will be in effect for three years.

Speaking on the collaboration, Prof Chatterjee said, “Collaborations with universities of repute are always a win-win situation where we mutually benefit in terms of sharing knowledge, expertise and skills. The collaboration between IIM Kozhikode and Brunel University, London aims at maintaining excellence in areas of research, teaching and consulting.”

Brunel University was represented by a three-member faculty team of Dr Monomita Nandy, Dr David Sarpong and Dr Claire Donavan. Speaking on behalf of the London-based University, Dr Nandy said, “Brunel University, London is happy to join hands with IIM Kozhikode. Together, the two institutions will endeavour to make a difference by providing the faculty, scholars/students and researchers a unique experience with a cross cultural flavour.”

The visiting faculty members, during their three-day stay, held a series of meeting with faculty members of IIM-K headed by Prof Rudra Sensarma, Dean (Research, Innovations and Internationalisation) and Prof Deepa Sethi, Chairperson, International Relations and Faculty in the area of Humanities and Liberal Arts in Management.
