IIM Udaipur inks MoU with Quikr to provide digital business exposure

The one-year MBA will include workshops on trending technologies and short-term projects

Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM-U), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Quikr, to equip students with knowledge of digital businesses and the way digital technologies are changing businesses world over.

The one-year MBA in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) programme will include knowledge-based workshops on trending digital technologies. It would comprise Quikr’s inputs to the curriculum structure and seek access to Quikr case studies and research material to hone their skillsets.

Lead and execute

Janat Shah, Director, IIM-U, said, “DEM is designed to equip management students to develop knowledge and skill to conceive, lead, and execute innovative initiatives involving technologies and data for existing and start-up organisations. The curriculum, therefore, emphasises on access and availability of data that impact prevailing practices and create new management challenges which require new kind of thinking and leadership.”

Pranay Chulet, Founder and CEO, Quikr, said, “Our partnership is an opportunity for students to get a real-time understanding of how digital businesses like Quikr operate in this new world, making these students ready to play management roles in digital businesses, digital focused roles in traditional businesses, or be digital entrepreneurs in their own right.”
