IIM-A adjudged joint runners-up at inter-IIM sports meet

The IIM-A contingent scored a total of 111 points

Students of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta and Lucknow (IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C and IIM-L) came together to celebrate sportsmanship through an inter-IIM sports meet, Sangharsh, at IIM-B recently. The meet witnessed a host of exciting sporting events such as badminton, basketball, football, swimming, table rennis, lawn tennis, and cricket.

There were a total of 21 medal sports and five non-medal events.

The 12th edition of Sangharsh was inaugurated by Anshul Kothari, an Indian national swimmer. Professor G Raghuram, Director, IIM-B; Prof Padmini Srinivasan, PGP Chairperson, IIM-B; and Prof MS Narasimhan, Dean Admissions, IIM-B, also addressed the participants of sports meet.

The IIM-A contingent won a joint second position by scoring a total of 111 points inclusive of three gold medals, eight silver medals and five bronze medals. The contingent was fairly represented by both male and female sports players.
