IIM-A’s annual marketing conclave set to take place

To take place between September 25 and 27

The 28th edition of Insight, the annual marketing conclave of IIM Ahmedabad (IIM-A), is scheduled to take place between September 25 and 27. The theme of this year’s edition is “Transcending Horizons”, and the event aims to capture the newest and best practices in the enticing world of marketing.

The event is set to kick off on September 24 with The Great Ahmedabad Run. This run is to serve as a precursor to the Heart Day programmes that are to take place on September 29.

The main attraction of Insight is The Great Ahmedabad Mela, which is an event meant for Amdavadis to gather, explore, admire and revel in the celebration unique to Ahmedabad and the institution. According to the institute, the stalls managed by the students of the institute provide an opportunity for people of all ages to reconnoitre the variety on display and indulge in a weekend away from the cobwebs of their daily routine.

Insight has also lined up a list of entertainment programmes. Warsi Brothers, Sorabh Pant and Osman Mir are a few household names who will be making an appearance.

Additionally, workshops on a number of topics in marketing are scheduled to take place. Prominent ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar is scheduled to host a workshop as well.

Disconnect, a flea market for designers, is also scheduled to be held on September 26 and 27. Disconnect is an opportunity for visitors to view products from upcoming designers across a wide range of apparel, accessories and décor.

“Over a hundred students have worked towards providing the students and the people of Ahmedabad a weekend of fun filled learning. The distinctiveness of the event has raised the expectations this year. However, I believe we have strived to not only meet, but also exceed them. We are eagerly looking forward to spending a weekend of celebration with the Amdavadis,” said Prashant Tiwari, the Secretary of Insight this year.
