IIMA’s flagship symposium goes virtual

‘The Red Brick Summit’ is set to host 14 speakers, 22 competitions, and 18 workshops

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, is geared up to host its flagship management symposium ‘The Red Brick Summit’ (TRBS) on October 24 and 25 in its all-new virtual avatar. The two-day event is said to see participation from 70,000+ students globally and prominent business leaders from different walks of life.

“Covid-19 has not dampened our spirits. While there might be some unfortunate drawbacks with the virtual mode, there are many additional untapped opportunities for us to look into,” said Prof Chinmay Tumbe.

This year, the festival has seen participation from 320+ colleges, with participation from globally renowned institutions such as UCLA, National University of Singapore, SDA Bocconi School of Management, and others. It is set to host 14 speakers, 22 competitions, and 18 workshops.

Industry speakers

Some of the prominent speakers gracing the event include industry stalwarts such as Sir Martin Sorrell, Founder and Executive Chairman, S4 Capital Plc; Zarin Daruwala, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank; Ashok Ramachandran, CEO, Schindler India; Mukesh Bansal, Co-Founder, Myntra and Cure.fit; Shiv Khera, author of the international bestseller You Can Win ; Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder, InfoEdge; and Justice Indu Malhotra, to name a few.

Workshops on supply chain, AI, and so on

To provide an insight into real-time businesses to all the participants, the fest is hosting 18 workshops across multiple domains such as supply chain, AI, financial modelling and many more in collaboration with industry players. These include ‘Marketing over the years’ with PepsiCo, ‘The art of creating successful brands’ with Ogilvy, ‘Market research in uncertain times’ with Nielsen, ‘Product Management 101’ with Amazon, ‘Supply Chain Initiatives During Covid-19’ with Amul, ‘Lean Six Sigma’ with KPMG, ‘Analytics in Supply Chain’ with CII, ‘AI/ML in Business Strategy’ with American Express, among the many. These workshops will be conducted virtually, and certificates will be given to all the attendees.
