Core metrics

Prof Abhoy K Ojha, Dean of Programmes at IIMB, said, “The FT ranking for 2020 is the reaffirmation of the leadership position of the programme. The rankings significantly focus on alumni performance in industry. IIMB scoring exceedingly well on the career progression parameter reiterates that the various initiatives undertaken at IIMB, in terms of graduate employability, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, and thought leadership are in the right direction.”

The FT ranking is based on 17 criteria. Alumni responses inform seven criteria that together contribute 58 per cent to the ranking’s total weight. The remaining ten criteria are calculated from school data and given 42 per cent weight-age.

The core metrics considered for the rankings include value for money ranking, aims achieved by alumni on taking the course, career services ranking, employability, the involvement of women on the institute’s board, international student intake, international mobility ranking, international course experience ranking, faculty with doctorates, languages, course fee, course duration, number of students enrolled and company internships.
