IIMB’s entrepreneurship summit on Aug 21 and 22

Some Eximius talks will focus on pandemic learnings and innovation, and how sectors are rebounding.

IIM Bangalore’s PGP students will host the 14th edition of its entrepreneurship summit, Eximius 2021, on August 21 and 22. With the theme of ‘Reflect. Reboot. Rebound’, the summit celebrates entrepreneurial spirit in student-participants.

Who it will host

This edition of Eximius will host speakers such as Prof Rajeev Gowda, Former Rajya Sabha MP; Prashant Tandon, Co-founder and CEO, 1MG; Ankit Gupta, CEO, Franchise and Frontier, OYO India; Satya Tripathi, Secretary-General, Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet; Vikram Vaidyanathan, Managing Partner, Matrix Partners India; Tarun Sharma, CEO & Co-founder, mCaffeine; and many more.

Variety of events

The summit will feature 20+ competitions, 15+ speaker sessions, fireside chats and panel discussions, seven workshops, and product demonstrations by start-ups. Talks will focus on strategy, start-up fundraising, IPO pitch, public policy, product management, business idea pitch and more. Some of the talks will focus on the learnings from the pandemic, innovation that has taken place over the past year, and how sectors are rebounding.

Eximius will host its traditional competitions such as Pitcher Perfect, which is IIMB’s version of Shark Tank; Bzzwings, the B-plan competition; Young Entrepreneur Programme, which is the accelerator programme for aspiring entrepreneurs; and Start-up Junction, a platform that provides an opportunity for start-ups to showcase their offering to a diverse group of investors, entrepreneurs, and customers.

The event will also see stand-up comedy acts by Sridhar V and Zakir Khan, August 21 and 22 respectively.
