The batch contributed ₹52 lakh as a gesture of gratitude, a part of which has been used for the ambulance

The alumni relations team at IIM Bangalore organised a special event to highlight the contribution of the class of 2009 of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) to their alma mater. The event included the inauguration of an ambulance. Prof Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIMB; Professor Rajendra K Bandi, Dean, Administration; Parthasarathy S, Head, Alumni Relations; Suresh K, Head, Development; and Parul Bajaj, Programme Manager, Tata Trusts; and alumna representing the PGP class of 2009, participated in the event. Due to Covid-related restrictions, just a few people attended the event on campus.

As part of their tenth year reunion celebrations, the PGP class of 2009 donated ₹52 lakh to IIMB. A part of the contribution was used to fund an ambulance for use by the IIMB community. In these challenging times, this heart-warming gesture has won much appreciation. The balance amount is being earmarked for appropriate naming rights on the campus. In an email message, the PGP Class of 2009, said they felt privileged to fund an ambulance that can be useful, especially now. “We hope this will motivate other batches to give back in different ways,” they wrote in an email.
