IIMB’s National Entrepreneurship Summit on Aug 8 and 9

Eximius has an impressive line-up of speakers, as well as events to encourage budding entrepreneurs

IIM Bangalore will host the eighth edition of its National Annual Entrepreneurship Summit, Eximius 2015, on August 8 and 9. With the theme of ‘Let’s Get Started’, the summit celebrates the drive of entrepreneurs to solve problems, creatively.

Who it will host

This edition of Eximius will host prominent speakers such as Alarmel Valli (Padma Bhushan awardee and dancer), Ramachandra Guha (author and historian), Mahesh Murthy (venture capitalist) and Mukesh Bansal (Board Chairman of Myntra.com and Head of Commerce at Flipkart.com). They will share their experiences and leadership lessons with the students.

The summit will also play host to the team from Manjhi: The Mountain Man , with actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and director Ketan Mehta emphasising on the importance of ‘taking initiative and doing things on one’s own’.

In addition, panel discussions on MSME policy in India and the role of internet in organising the unorganised real estate sector in India, featuring the CXOs of Housing.com, Commonfloor.com, Flatchat and IndiaProperty, are also lined up.

Over 30 events

To promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and cater to the needs of budding entrepreneurs, over 30 events will take place, right from workshops around starting and scaling enterprises to workshops on promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among women.

Prerna workshop, that will be conducted in association with a partner NGO, is aiming at imparting skills to under-privileged women.

Bootcamp

What is sure to interest budding entrepreneurs is the Bootcamp for Start-ups, conducted in association with Furlenco. Here, young start-ups can showcase what they have been working on, day and night, and let others know where they’re headed. Through a kiosk at Bootcamp, start-ups can present their product prototypes, demos and service offerings to students, investors and potential customers.
