IIMK secures 100 per cent placements

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has recorded 100 per cent placements. The placements season was successfully completed for the 24th batch of the flagship PGP programme and the inaugural batches of the PGP- Finance (PGP-F) and PGP- Liberal Studies and Management (PGP-LSM).

A total of 571 offers were rolled out by 116 companies. The average salary secured by the students stood at ₹29.5 lakh per anum, an increase of 31.3 per cent against last year, while the median salary secured is ₹26.50 lakh per annum, an increase of 32.5 per cent over last year. Of the 546 students placed, 40 students each are from the PGP- F and PGP- LSM courses, a press statement said.

ABInBev, Accenture Strategy, Accenture Technology, Amazon, American Express, Asian Paints, Avendus Capital, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Capgemini, and Citi Bank were among the major recruiters. Adani Group, Clarivate, EY-Parthenon, Garena, Meesho, Ola, PhonePe were among the 39 new recruiters who participated in the process this year.

Sector-wise analysis

Around 41 per cent of the offers were rolled out by the consulting cluster this season, which is a 58 per cent increase from the last year.

The BFSI cluster also witnessed impressive growth in opportunities and this year, 15 per cent of the offers were made in the financial sector, with the majority of the offers being secured from reputed financial institutions.

Sales and marketing witnessed 13 per cent offers. The information technology and analytics cluster contributed to 15 per cent of the total offers from a combination of marquee recruiters and a few niche recruiters. Over 16 per cent of offers were made for general management and operations roles, the statement added.
