The shortlisted candidates will get ₹16.5 lakh worth of grant and investment through an in-campus residential programme from IIT Mandi Catalyst.

Shaping the ideas

The early stage start-ups will learn about the fundamental aspects of running a business. Operational start-ups which already have some experience will get to meet investors.

Dr Puran Singh, Faculty in-charge, IIT Mandi Catalyst, said, “HST 2019 is an event that is diligently curated to benefit the early stage start-ups. Entrepreneur talks, tech talks and one-on-one meeting with start-up experts will help shape the ideas of budding entrepreneurs. We invite start-ups from across the country to experience first-hand start-up ecosystem that IIT Mandi is building in the hills.”

Catalyst aims to create impact in relevant areas such as renewable energy, healthcare, road safety, disaster management, clean energy and education, particularly focusing on the Himalayan region.
