IMT-CDL (Institute of Management Technology-Centre for Distance Learning) has announced a new Post-Graduate Programme in Advanced Data Science. This nine-month course will fall under its newly launched domain, IMT Online. It will be a joint certificate course conducted in collaboration with consulting and advisory major Ernst & Young (EY) India.
The PG programme offers 192 hours of live online lectures, delivered by experts from academia and industry, as well as consultants from EY India.
The programme has been designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in the use of data analytics tools. Beginning with the fundamentals of statistics and data modelling, it moves to advanced tools and technologies, including Python, artificial intelligence and machine learning. It covers blockchain, and the future of technology. Post-graduates and graduates seeking a career in data science, as also IT professionals and other working professionals will be eligible for this course.
Industry-centric learning

Direct learning model
During the course, students will be required to perform two projects of three weeks and eight weeks duration respectively, that will be selected for them according to their domain experience. Top performing students stand a chance to intern with EY India, a leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services. After course completion, the students will be a part of the IMT-CDL alumni network of more than 30,000 working professionals, many of whom hold senior corporate positions at present.
