IMT Ghaziabad launched its first Innovation Day

The event hosted workshops and lec-dems on various topics

IMT Ghaziabad (IMTG) launched its first Innovation Day on February 3 at its campus. Supported by Start-Up India and in association with knowledge partners DiPP, TiE-NCR and LetsVenture, IMTG exhibited around 50 innovative projects by students who have undergone a full two-credit compulsory course on design thinking and innovation. Immersive workshops, panel discussions and expert lec-dem sessions were also planned.

The inaugural session was graced by chief guest Sunil Goyal, COO, Sopra Steria & Co-Chair, NASSCOM, Regional Council. He hailed IMTG for introducing a required course on design thinking innovation for the two-year PGDM students, and said, “Design thinking is fast changing the whole innovation process and it is exciting to see design thinking as a part of a MBA.”

The inaugural session also had Ravikesh Srivastava, Dean-Academics, IMTG.

The event hosted chats and workshops on raising your seed and/or angel fund by Kashif Alam, Head, Investor Relationship and Partnership, LetsVenture; how blockchain tech can change the world by Harmeet Monga, Programme Head, Stashi Studios; and, let your content speak out by Aditi Syal, Founder, Vocaburry.

The exhibitions by the students and start-ups at IMTheInnovator were presented in front of the panels of expert jury members who adjudged the winners.

The entrepreneurship cell of IMTG coordinated the event.
