ISB-AIC invites applications from entrepreneurs

Goal is to promote spirit of enterprise, and make start-ups scalable and sustainable

To promote entrepreneurship in the country’s northern regions, Indian School of Business (ISB) is inviting applications to the recently launched Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) at its Mohali Campus. AIC is the incubation and acceleration arm of ISB, set up in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog. AIC hosts a state-of-the-art incubation space for entrepreneurs to interact, engage and collaborate with mentors, investors and academia.

Mentorship, market strategies

The objective is to make start-ups scalable and sustainable enterprises by leveraging the inherent strength of the faculty, combined with a strong network of mentors, industry experts, investors and its vast global alumni network.

Start-ups that have crossed the proof-of-concept stage and are in the midst of rolling out commercial pilots would be best suited to qualify as incubatees in this centre. The selected ventures would be provided mentorship in building business models, go-to-market strategy, and pilot programmes with corporates, and would have access to industry stalwarts and investors.

ISB has been at the forefront of promoting entrepreneurship in the country. Back in 2015, DLabs, an incubator and accelerator was set up in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology at its Hyderabad campus with the objective of strengthening entrepreneurship and fostering innovation. Over the last four years, ISB’s DLabs has incubated and accelerated over 70 start-ups across sectors, and some of them are now in the growth stage.
