ISB’s PGPMAX programme bags global ranking

The Economist ranks B-school’s executive MBA 43rd globally; the only Indian one on list

The post graduate programme for senior executives (PGPMAX) of Indian School of Business (ISB) has been ranked 43rd globally in The Economist's ‘ Which MBA, executive MBA programme’ rankings.

The ISB, which operates two campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali, also gained the distinction of being the only B-school in India on the list.

The Economist's ‘ Which MBA’ executive MBA ranking is a comprehensive ranking of executive MBA courses around the world. ISB's PGPMAX is a 15- month global executive MBA level programme for senior-level employees with a minimum of 10 years of work experience.

Two broad measures

The Economist has ranked the programmes on two broad measures - personal development/educational experience and career development. ISB's global ranking was ascertained based on parameters which included percentage of faculty with a PhD, managerial work experience of senior executives; percentage increase of salary (pre and post programme); quality of the programme .Classes that were surveyed for rankings included students of PGP Max class of 2020, alumni of class of 2016, class of 2017 and class of 2018.

The Economist’s global ranking vindicates that ISB’s educational programmes equip its students and professionals to become globally competitive and facilitate them to become future-ready,'' Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB, said in a statement on Tuesday.

``With the fast-evolving global scenario, businesses should become more sensitive and flexible in tackling unpredictable challenges, and ISB, through its multi-pronged approach, is redesigning its educational models to address this imperative,'' the Dean said.

ISB's PGPMAX is a 15- month global executive MBA-level programme for senior-level employees with a minimum 10 years of experience that facilitates them to further hone their analytical, strategic, and leadership skills.
