Jindal law students to study courses at Oxford, Columbia Universities

Students to be taught by world’s leading experts in international law, global governance

This summer, over 60 students of Jindal Global Law School of O.P. Jindal Global University will be attending two programmes being hosted at Columbia University in the US, and Oxford University in the UK.

Jindal students will be participating in the US Business Law Academy at Columbia University. The students will undertake an intensive study of US Business laws under the programme. It will feature an introductory survey of select topics covering The US business law and legal institutions such as corporations, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, US tax and policy among others, all taught by Columbia’s faculty including Robert Jackson, Jeffrey N Gordan, David Schizer and others. The program will also include talks by leading practitioners, representatives from Columbia Law School’s LL.M. programme and career strategists.

In collaboration with the Somerville College, University of Oxford, Jindal University offers its students the opportunity to reside and study at Oxford. Several Jindal students will also be attending the academic programme at Somerville College where they will be taught by some of the world’s leading experts in international law and global governance.

Students will study basic key principles of international law and global governance and some contemporary issues in the field, including the protection of human rights, the use of force, the regulation of armed conflict, and protection of the environment.
