JKBS organises BizTech certification workshop for undergraduate aspirants

Knowledge shared by experts will help students make informed choices in the beginning of their career

With the recent announcement of results for class 12th, the process of selecting the right course for undergraduation has also begun. Understanding the critical situation, JK Business School (JKBS) is organising a two-day BizTech certification workshop for students applying to undergraduate courses, on 7th and 8th August.

Seamless transition

The workshop will be conducted by leading academicians and experts sharing insights on topics, such as, cryptocurrency, brand marketing, digital marketing essentials, data sciences and python, understanding the role of government in business, role of business in government, and the transition from a globalised to a not-so-globalised world. Students from all streams are eligible to attend, as all future jobs will require such a skill set. The workshop will take place under the guidance of Prof Sanjiv Marwah, Director, JKBS. Each participant will be provided with a participation certificate and three best performing participants will be rewarded with cash prize.

“We believe that laying a strong foundation for students at the right age is important. Exposing them to industry experts will allow knowledge transfer, which can be extremely beneficial for the students starting their college lives. Through this BizTech certification workshop, we want to bestow the right analytical knowledge to make the right career decisions,” said JKBS Director Marwah.

Industry experts

With an objective of delivering the right skill set for futuristic careers to the aspiring students, key speakers for the Biz Tech certification workshop are:

Vishal Sehgal, MD and CEO, Nischay Educorp, Harvard University alumna, Kennedy School of Government and Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumna, will be speaking on ‘Government in business or business in government.’

Sudhanshu Bhushan, PhD, Boston University, will share his insights on ‘Transition from the globalised to the not-so globalised world.’

Shailaja Manocha, Faculty, Trainer and Marketing Consultant, will share her expertise on ‘Iconic brands.’

Sumedha Chaterjee, Head of Marketing, BMJ, IIM Lucknow alumna, will educate students on ‘Digital marketing essentials.’

Swapna Sen, MBA and PhD in Finance, University of Calcutta, will introduce the students to the ‘World of data with Python.’

Prof Kuber Sharma , Active trader in Bitcoin, Altcoin, Columbia Business School alumna, will speak on ‘How to make riches from volatile digital assets like cryptocurrencies?’
