MOOC provider Website LearnSocial has turned itself into a self-paced online courses (SPOC) platform. LearnSocial forayed into the e-Learning industry a year ago with instructor-led live online courses. It has now launched a new social learning platform - an Open system where anyone can teach and learn from anywhere.
The Website's robust technology platform helps instructors go live in a short span of time. Learners can take these courses from anywhere and can engage with the instructor by asking questions online, be a part of discussion forums, share files, view presentations and much more.
The new platform is self-paced i.e. instructors from across the globe can upload high quality videos of their courses and learners can access these courses at their own pace and time.
“Since its launch in June 2014, LearnSocial has attracted nearly 2 lakh registered users on the site. We plan to onboard over 10,000 instructors in various domains with about 30,000 courses into various categories by end of 2015,” said Raju Vanapala, Founder and CEO of LearnSocial.com in a statement.
The platform is seeking to portray itself as the largest destination for online courses in various categories like business, IT, personality development, photography, fitness, music, academics, language and more.
