LIBA conducts Beyond Management Initiative session

Aditya Narayan Mishra of Ma Foi spoke on ‘Campus to corporate’

Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) conducted the Beyond Management Initiative (BMI) session that offers its students an opportunity to listen to and interact with experts from various fields, and benefit from their experiences and insights. The BMI lecture series are held every Wednesday at LIBA.

The recent session focussed on ‘Campus to corporate’ by Aditya Narayan Mishra, Director & Group CEO, Ma Foi. Mishra shared his experience of working with more than 1,000 companies with regard to recruitment.

Explaining the transition from campus to corporate, Mishra said, “Whether it is the transition of life or the transition from campus to corporate, life depends only on two principles that need to be questioned: how do you manage yourself and how do you manage your relationships. Each individual prioritises relationships but they fail to understand what is expected of them from the perspective of family, friends and, of course, the organisation. In career, expectations differ from educational institutes to what an organisation needs. The way in which you approach an activity matters in an organisation.”

“Health, which is one of the most vital parts of life, impacts the outcome of our work and, in turn, affects the deliverables. People who think they are healthier in their youth cannot assure the same as they grow older. Hence, work and life have to go hand-in-hand.”

In conclusion, he said, “Companies evaluate performance not only based on outcomes, but also the way in which an employee approaches a problem, analyses the right ingredients and derives a solution from it.”
