LIBA launches management course for working professionals

Two-year programme will have weekend classes

The Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) in Chennai, ranked among the best management schools in India, has introduced an Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management for working professionals in the upcoming academic year. The institute is opening its long standing two year programme as an open programme for working professionals.

The programme is designed to meet key managerial knowledge and skillsets required by organisations. The duration of the part-time programme is two years, or eight terms (four terms a year), with classes held on Saturdays and Sundays.

Students will be specialising in the last two terms in any one of the following streams: marketing, finance, human resources, operations and general management.

Sridhar Ganesh, who heads the executive programme, says, “The underlying thought here is that if managers accredited themselves with a formal qualification in management it will build for them an in-depth business perspective and also a greater degree of knowledge in their chosen specialisation. This will certainly open up for them career opportunities, including leadership roles. The business, by actively promoting this initiative amongst its mangers, is also bound to gain by having over a period of time, appropriate bench strength and a pipeline of resources for future requirements. It will also, willy-nilly, enhance employee engagement and motivation.”

LIBA is currently ranked third in the southern region, and maintains collaborations with management schools across the globe. www.liba.edu
