LIBA secures 100% placement

Most of the job offers were from the BFSI sector; highest salary was ₹17 lakh

Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai, recorded a 100 per cent placement in the first phase of its recruitment drive. The college played host to 55 companies; 34 of them offered jobs while 38 offered summer internships. The recruiters include multinational companies such as E&Y, CBRE, RBS, Pfizer, Citibank, Amazon and Bank of America.

The students received offers from sectors such as automobile, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), consultancy, digital marketing, e-commerce, FMCG, hospitality, IT manufacturing, real estate and retail. BFSI recruited the highest number of students, at 34.51 per cent of those who opted for placements. Job offers from the consultancy sector increased from 18 per cent last year to 30 per cent while those from the real estate sector increased by 4 per cent. The new recruiters were E&Y, Dabur, CBRE, Temenos, Oyo Rooms, Animaker, LynkGlobal, White Data, Alkraft and IDFC Bank. Pre-placement offers also came from Asian Paints, GEP Consulting and HDFC Bank.

 

 

 

Internships

The internship offers for students came from various sectors such as advertising, BFSI, consultancy, digital marketing, FMCG, healthcare, IT, logistics, manufacturing, media, real estate, retail and sports. Here also, BFSI offered the most opportunities, followed by the FMCG industry. The internship offers from FMCG and manufacturing sectors rose sharply from 8 per cent and 1 per cent to 16 per cent and 6 per cent respectively.
