MICA records ₹13.9 lakh average package

Highest international package was ₹58.2 lakh (CTC) per year; FMCG was the top recruiter

MICA, Ahmedabad, recorded 100 per cent placement for the 25th batch of its flagship PGDM-Communications programme, with the highest international package at ₹58.2 lakh (CTC) per year.

The institute witnessed an increase of ₹8 lakh in its domestic package making ₹32.8 lakh as highest domestic package. While the average CTC went up from ₹12.8 lakh to 13.9 lakh.

A total of 88 companies partnered with MICA and recruited 179 students sitting for the campus placements process. Of the 179 students, 47 per cent were women. In terms of work experience, 58 students were freshers, 40 had worked for 7-12 months, 31 had worked for close to two years , 16 had six months, 10 had 37-48 months, and 21 candidates had worked for 25-36 months.

Three out of every 10 students received pre-placement offers.

FMCG top recruiter

FMCG saw a 67 per cent increase in recruitments over last year with companies like Britannia, Colgate-Palmolive, ITC, HUL and Pidilite offering roles.

Students were offered various roles such as brand manager, digital marketing strategist, product marketer, analytics specialist, analytical lead, media analyst, strategic partnership manager, advertising and brand specialist.

Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Cadila Pharma, Cars 24, Casio, Citibank, Deloitte Consulting, E&Y, Google, IBM, ICICI Bank, Intel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Lenskart, Malabar Diamonds, Nielsen, Symphony, Tata Steel and Usha International offered roles.
