MICA to conduct conference on media and entertainment

The event will be held from January 11-13

For its 5th International Communication Management Conference (ICMC), MICA has roped-in USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, USA as the academic partner.

To be conducted on the theme 'Media and entertainment disruptions and beyond', the event will be held at MICA's Ahmedabad campus from January 11-13.

The conference aims to understand effective marketing strategies for managers in the media and entertainment industries. This would entail examining strategies for managing content, consumers, and connections. The event will also look into the future role of media and the entertainment industry in building the global economy. The platform will enable academia and the industry to converge and discuss research-based solutions for intractable issues and challenges.

Leaders such as Bhaskar Das, President, DB Group; MK Anand, MD, Times Network; Romil Ramgarhia, Chief Business Officer, BARC; Tarun Katial, CEO, Reliance Broadcast; Udit Sheth, Founder, Transstadia; Vinay Singhal, Co-Founder, WittyFeed; Kandaswamy Bharathan, Director, Kavithalayaa Productions; Laxmi Pratury, Co-Founder, INK and Sameer Pitalwala, CEO, Culture Machine, will be present.

International speakers such as David Craig and Jonathan David Aronson from USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, Patricia Lee Dorff from Council on Foreign Relations and Sumir Lal of World Bank will discuss the latest trends.
