MICA to host TEDx themed ‘The Next Page’

Screenwriter Atika Chohan and filmmaker Rima Das are among the 15 speakers

MICA, Ahmedabad, will host TEDx talk on February 16. The independently organised event, licensed by TED, will feature voices under the theme, ‘The Next Page’, that aims to celebrate thought leaders from various industries who have their sights set on the next paradigm shift.

The speakers will share their understanding of what it means to flip to a new chapter — in their lives, of the industry, or of the society. The focus would be on concepts and ideas that have the potential to shape the years to come. A total of 15 speakers from across the industry will join from various fields such as design, science, humanities, creativity, technology, and filmmaking.


The speakers include Atika Chohan, screenwriter; Rima Das, whose film Village Rockstars was India’s official entry to Oscars 2019; Deepika Singh Rajawat, advocate and human rights activist; Hindol Sengupta, journalist and author of Being Hindu, Kalika Bali, Principal Researcher at Microsoft; Suresh Eriyat, animator and creative director at Studio Eeksaurus; CK Muraleedharan, cinematographer; Nikhil Pahwa, digital rights activist and founder of MediaNama; Nikhil Taneja, Founder and CEO of Yuvaa, Varun Duggirala, co-founder and content chief at The Glitch; Mo Joshi and Uday Kapur, Founders, Azadi Records; Kaustav Dey, VP, Marketing, Tommy Hilfiger; Shikher Chaudhary, cognitive neuroscientist; Amrita Raichand, celebrity chef; and Amrita Puri, actor.
