The Indian School of Business (ISB) has managed to pluck talent from varied fields with a fairly diverse batch for its flagship one-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) this year as well. The PGP Class of 2016 comprises 813 students with 560 and 253 students at Hyderabad and Mohali campuses respectively.

The students come from varied backgrounds including medicine, government and non-governmental organisations, scientific researchers, sports enthusiasts and performing artists, and media professionals. About 18 students in the batch have either filed for or received patents. With 236 women, the PGP Class of 2016 has the highest number of women in any class so far. ISB has been actively working towards bringing more women students on board, based on recruiters' feedback who look forward to hiring women candidates for leadership positions.

This year the B-School has witnessed an increase in the number of students from the NGO/not-for-profit organisations. The students have worked in NGOs from sectors including education and healthcare.

The average age of students in ISB is 27 years and average work experience is about 4.7 years. This is the 15th Class to enroll for ISB’s PGP and the overall alumni strength of the business school is more than 7,600.
