New PGDM batch starts off at JKBS

Many webinars and e-talks around skill and personality development part of the programme

JK Business School (JKBS), recently conducted a three-day orientation programme ‘Adhwan’ for its newly joined PGDM batch. The annual orientation ceremony takes place on the completion of 50-days of ‘Buniyaad’ — an induction programme to strengthen the basics of management and bridge gaps by bringing together students from diverse backgrounds on a common level of understanding before starting PGDM programme.

‘Buniyaad’ is conducted in two phases — pre-foundation and foundation programme. This year JKBS used Google Classroom joins hands to conduct both the phases in which concepts, such as, skill development, personality development, economics, environment, basic statistics, accountancy and computing were covered. Many activities such as webinars and e-talks with founders, industry Leaders, philanthropists, motivational speakers, technology front-runners, etc were conducted to keep students abreast with the changing times and to enable students to become thoughtful leaders and managers in the long run.

JKBS Director Sanjiv Marwah said, “In Covid-19 times, staying afloat and embracing technology is a must as the future of education is largely dependent on the digital medium. We urge students to realise their full potential.”

JKBS officially welcomed the PGDM batch of 2020 during this ceremony, which started with lighting of the knowledge lamp. During the first day, various insights on current industry trends were shared with the students in virtually to guide them through the abundant opportunities waiting for them. In the ice breaking session on day two, the second year students welcomed newcomers by sharing personal experiences, engaging them with some light activities, and performances. The programme concluded with academic, administrative and cultural clubs briefing and the end of ‘Adhwan’ marks the official start of the new semester.
