OIFC teams up with ISB for India Fellows programme

Programme will last a year, and includes stints at ISB’s Hyderabad and Mohali campuses

Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC), a public-private partnership between the Government of India and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), partnered with the Indian School of Business (ISB) to launch the OIFC-ISB India Fellows Programme.

The programme is designed for business owners and professionals with a decision-making capacity, in the young Indian Diaspora, to familiarise them with doing business in India.

OIFC is designing this programme with ISB to connect Indian entrepreneurs to opportunities arising out of new initiatives of the government, such as Make in India, Digital India and Start-up India.

The year-long programme led by ISB is offered as a blended model comprising technology aided learning and a specially designed 12-days residential programme in India.

The residency will be provide an experiential mix including exposure to the touch and feel of the Indian market, connect with senior government officials dealing with investment policies, domain experts, captains of the Indian industry and offer a curated networking opportunity with potential business partners.

The fellows will spend their residential learning stint at ISB’s campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali, and at Delhi.

The programme is open to young Indian entrepreneurs/professionals in a decision-making capacity, or potential investors and international partners of Indian companies, in the age group of 21-39 years. They should have minimum of three years of entrepreneurial or business experience.

The fee for the programme, which commences in June 2016, is $5,000 per participant, excluding service tax, and includes boarding and lodging, learning material, field visits and webinars.

Selected candidates who complete the programme will become members of the OIFC India Entrepreneurship Fellows (OIEF) Club, which will receive support and facilitation from OIFC in doing business in India.
