Salaries worth ₹1 cr make come back at IIFT

Around 64 PPOs were made to the batch of 254 students this year

The ₹1 crore salaries are back at B-Schools it seems with students from Delhi based IIFT receiving $1,50,000 (which amounts to more than ₹1 cr) worth job offers during the campus placements. Around 15 international roles were offered as compared to 13 last year.

The highest domestic compensation at the institute has also jumped by 21 per cent to ₹29 lakh this year.

The average compensation offered to the students was ₹18.01 lakh indicating a rise of around 24 per cent compared to last year's.

Around 64 PPOs were made to the batch of 254 students this year and 81 companies recruited from the campus.

Some of the top recruiters at the IIFT Delhi campus who hired in large numbers this year include Amazon, Cognizant Business Consulting, JP Morgan, Vodafone, IDFC Bank, Wipro, HCL, and ICICI Bank.

Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI) sector hired 25 per cent of the batch with firms like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citibank, State Bank of India, Axis Bank, Edelweiss, Nomura, IDFC Bank, and Religare extending offers to students.

International offers came from locations such as Tanzania, Nigeria, Middle East, Thailand and Hongkong. Companies who offered international roles include Olam International, TGI Group, Bhatia Brothers, Bajaj Auto, and Godrej etc. Trade recruiters like AluZinc Asia, Louis Dreyfus, and Swiss Singapore also recruited from IIFT.

Companies who offered sales and marketing profiles include ITC, Godrej Consumer Products, Nivea, L'Oreal, 3M, Britannia, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki India, and Tata Steel.

Conglomerates such as Tata, Godrej Industries, Mahindra and Mahindra, Airtel, Raymond, Welspun, Trident, Concentrix etc. offered leadership and strategy roles.

The E-Commerce sector also hired aggressively from IIFT with recruiters like Flipkart, Amazon, ShopClues, CarDekho, Bluestone, Play games24x7 etc. extending offers.
