Students of 8 full-time PGDM courses graduate from WeSchool

The chief guest was independent consultant Bhavna Doshi

SP Mandali's Prin LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool) recently held its convocation for eight full-time post-graduate diploma programmes, namely PGDM (Marketing, Finance, HR and Operations), PGDM Retail, PGDM Business Design and Innovation, PGDM Healthcare, PGDM Rural (Emerging Economies), PGDM Research and Business Analytics, PGDM Media and Entertainment, and PGDM E-Biz, all from the batch of 2015-2017.

The chief guest of the event was Bhavna Doshi, independent consultant and former partner, member firm of KPMG in India. She, along with advocate SK Jain, Chairman, Managing Council, WeSchool, Prof Anil Rao Paila, Sr Dean, WeSchool, Bengaluru, and Prof Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, awarded the convocation certificates to the graduating students.

In her keynote address, Doshi said, "Education, experience, knowledge, devotion, commitment and hard work continue to be the keys to success. In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world with disruptive innovations, one needs to constantly unlearn and re-learn to stay relevant. I would urge all students to keep on up-skilling and re-skilling themselves. While many professionals tend to be in a hurry to climb the ladder, one tends to burn out and is constantly struggling with the challenge of work-life balance. Do not be in such a hurry, do what you are doing with full commitment and you will be able to give your best. It is imperative to stay focused and be patient to be successful. Students must always remember that the success achieved is not yours alone; never forget the sacrifices and contributions of others around you. As you step out to become global citizens and responsible members of this society, extend support to those not as fortunate as you. That will bring about the change you wish to see."

Prior the oath-taking ceremony, SK Jain said, "I wish all students the best as you embark on a new journey as young entrepreneurs and talented professionals. Remember the success you achieve is the success of your teachers and parents who have moulded you. As you go further, you will create new milestones for yourself as professionals and in your personal life. As you take your first step out of campus, stay inspired to grow with confidence and embrace the world."

Uday Salunkhe said, "A convocation ceremony is a significant juncture for the students, institute and faculty, but more so for the proud parents who ensure that their children are able to achieve the best education possible and, hence, I would like to acknowledge their efforts on this momentous occasion."
