The book club of the Manipal-based TAPMI (TA Pai Management Institute) organised its first book launch event ‘Between the Covers’ recently.
Two books — ‘Pandemonium - The Great Indian Banking Tragedy’ by Tamal Bandyopadhyay, a business journalist, and ‘Ripples by the Hillside’ by Sudipto Das, Programme Manager of Mu Sigma and TAPMI LEAD Programme — were discussed on the occasion.
Introducing the book ‘Pandemonium — The Great Indian Banking Tragedy’, Tamal Bandyopadhyay gave an insight on the canvas of the Indian banking tragedy and how he consulted four former heads of RBI to get an in-depth perspective of wrongdoings in the banking sector.
Sudipto Das, who introduced ‘Ripples by the Hillside’, thanked his colleagues for encouraging him to publish poems, and recited a poem from the book. The event concluded with an interactive question and answer session. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director of TAPMI, and other professors and students students attended the book launch, said a press statement by the institute.
