TAPMI Director gets AICTE award

Madhu Veeraraghavan’s academic credentials and institution-building initiatives at TAPMI recognised

Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director of the Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), has been awarded the 'Dr Pritam Singh Award 2021' in the category of ‘Best Teacher’ by AICTE.

A statement said on Tuesday that the title recognises Madhu Veeraraghavan’s academic credentials and institution-building initiatives at TAPMI. The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, conferred the award to Veeraraghavan.

Quoting Madhu Veeraraghavan, the statement said: “I am honoured to receive the award and I would like to congratulate awardees. The recognition underlines TAPMI’s vision which I firmly believe in. Awards like these go a long way to celebrate all members of the academic community who are working hard to keep academic values alive, as Prof Pritam Singh did throughout his life.”

Dr Pritam Singh award was created to recognise and honour teachers at the national level for their proficiency, uniqueness, and ingenuity in the field of management education. This award is given to deserving professors from AICTE-approved institutes who have passed a comprehensive screening process that takes into account factors such as outreach activities, teaching effectiveness, funded research, academic research, management, and leadership, the statement said.
