TAPMI gets AMBA accreditation

The accreditation is for its existing three PGDM programmes — PGDM, PGDM-BKFS and PGDM-HR

The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) received accreditation of the Association of MBAs (AMBA) for a period of three years. It received the AMBA accreditation for its existing three Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes — PGDM, PGDM-BKFS (Banking and Financial Services) and PGDM-HR (Human Resources).

Quoting Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director of TAPMI, a press release said that the accolade is a testimony of the tireless efforts of TAPMI’s faculty to provide cutting-edge curriculum and a stimulating student-centred environment. “This pursuit of excellence, coupled with the success of our students, inspires us to work towards greater heights and remain ahead of the curve,” he said. AMBA accredits programmes from only the top 2 per cent of business schools across 70 countries. In India, only 12 institutions have received this mark of excellence.

Simon George, Dean (Academics) of TAPMI, said the accreditation is a validation of TAPMI’s quality and rigor in designing and delivering knowledge. “To us, it is a milestone in our journey of continuous improvement. As a member of the best schools globally, we will have an opportunity to benchmark and raise our standards,” he said.

TAPMI has already been accorded accreditation to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Its programmes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), the release said.
