TAPMI has maintained its place for the second successive year

The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute has been placed in the 101+ band in the QS World University rankings.

A statement said here that TAPMI has maintained its place for the second successive year in the 101+ band in the QS World University rankings — Masters in Management 2021 (MIM).

Among the Indian business schools, IIM-Indore, IIM-Lucknow, IIM-Udaipur, IIM-Kozhikode and the Chennai-based Great Lakes Institute of Management are placed along with TAPMI in the same band, it said.

Globally, University of Texas at Arlington, University of South Carolina, Liverpool Management School, Kent Business School, and Rennes School of Business are some of the other prominent b-schools placed in the 101+ band, the statement said.

There are over 11,000 business schools outside India and over 3,500 business schools in India.

Only 148 management programmes from 30 countries found themselves good and confident enough to apply for these elite rankings, it said.

The QS MIM rankings evaluate schools on employability (35 per cent), alumni outcomes (15 per cent), value for money (20 per cent), thought leadership (20 per cent) and diversity (10 per cent).

The QS World University Ranking is the most widely read university rankings in the world, it added.
