TCS is top recruiter in cluster 3 placements at IIMA

Summer placement process ends; Electronic Arts, GamesCraft, Ikigai Labs, Intelligence Node, new recruiters.

Over 20 firms participated in the cluster 3 of the summer placements for the flagship PGP class of 2023 at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). The institute announced conclusion of summer placements with over 120 companies making offers to the students in varied roles. IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) emerged as the top recruiter at the cluster 3 with 12 offers, while among new recruiters at the campus, Ola Electric made five offers in the Core Manufacturing and Infra sector.

Among other new recruiters included Electronic Arts, GamesCraft, Ikigai Labs, Intelligence Node, ISDM Social and Rocket Learning in the enterprise tech space.

New recruiters

The third cluster of the summer placement process was held virtually as well.The firms that participated in cluster 3 comprised of nine cohorts — banking financial services and insurance, consumer technology, core manufacturing and infrastructure, education tech, enterprise tech, financial tech, IT consulting and analytics, renewable energy and green tech, and social enterprises and NGOs.

InfoEdge, participated in the IT Consulting and Analytics sector, and rolled out 5 offers. The Consumer Tech cohort saw firms like OLX and Winzo making offers. Enterprise Tech consisted of companies like Adobe, Atlassian Corporation, Microsoft, Oracle and Sprinklr, of which Microsoft was the highest recruiter with 7 offers.

IIMA concluded the summer placement process 2021 in 3 clusters. About 50 firms had participated for the cluster 1 and cluster 2 each held on November 16 and November 19 respectively.

Food and agribusiness management (FABM)

IIM-A in a statement informed that the summer placement for the batch of 2021-23 of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Food & Agribusiness Management (FABM) was completed November 19, 2021. The 47 students of FABM Class of 2021-23 will do a summer internship in the months of April-June 2022.

As many as 45 companies had participated in the placement process, which was held online, and offered a balance of roles from sectors like Agro-Chemicals, Commodities, Food Supply Chain, Food industry, Agri consulting, e-Commerce, FMCG Retail and other sectors.

Notably, maximum 18 students received offers from the companies from agri-inputs sector, followed by 9 offers from companies in FMCG space and 5 offers from food processing besides 4 offers each from logistics, Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and others, three students received offers in the consulting space.

In the FABM course, Pepsico and CP Foods were among the several new recruiters besides the regular recruiters such as FMC India Pvt. Ltd., Coromandel, IFFCO Kisan, Godrej Agrovet, P&G, RB, Nestle, Agri10X, Udaan, Torq Commodities and Yes Bank.

The programme also witnessed participation from recruiters from development sector like Akshay Patra, Raah Foundation, and Youth4Jobs.
