The liberal arts course offers students a chance ‘to combine Western efficiency with Indian ethos’

VijayBhoomi University, a new liberal arts university promoted by the IFIM group of institutions, has partnered with ESCP (ESCP Europe Business School) to provide a dual-degree BBA programme.

“The dual degree helps students pursuing BBA at IFIM Business School with the option of completing one year in India at our campus and pursuing the remaining two years at ESCP to obtain a bachelor in management from ESCP,” said Sanjay Padode, President, VijayBhoomi University.

Interacting with reporters at the IFIM sponsored two-day international conclave on ‘learning ecosystems’, Padode said: “The ESCP BBA programme is a three-country course. After their first year in India, students need to complete their second and third years at two of the three ESCP campuses located in Paris, Frankfurt or London.”

The students need to pay ₹3.20 lakh for the first year at IFIM Business School and will pay ESCP the fees for the other two years,” he added.

Liberal education

Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, Director, IFIM Business School, said: “Each year, a large number of Indian students go to Europe and the US for their college education to pursue their overseas dream. IFIM Business School provides a unique opportunity to combine Western efficiency with the Indian ethos. VijayBhoomi University, under the leadership of globally renowned academician Prof A Parasuraman, provides a foundation of liberal education for a professional career.”

Elaborating on the approach to education, Chattopadhyay said that such a liberal approach has resonated well with the schools both in Europe and the US. ESCP Europe is the oldest management institution of the world with a legacy of over 200 years.
