WeSchool hosts Smart India Hackathon 2019

It will host 28 student groups across India on its Mumbai campus for the 36-hour event on March 2, 3

SP Mandali's Prin LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), will host 28 student groups from across India on its Mumbai campus for the Smart India Hackathon 2019. The 36-hour non-stop hackathon will be held on March 2 and 3.

On WeSchool campus, 28 teams from across institutes in India will converge to solve problem statements on themes such as smart communication, healthcare and biomedical devices, agriculture and rural development, robotics and drones, waste management.

Prof Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, said: “The two day Hackathon will test the mettle of the participating young geeks. The event would be an opportunity to showcase their talent and advocate the power of technology in various business and governance domains.”

WeSchool is the only B-School in Maharashtra to be associated with Smart India Hackathon 2019. The B-School has successfully hosted previous Smart India Hackathon, Software Edition Grand Finales.

Smart India Hackathon 2019 is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mind-set of problem solving. Smart India Hackathon 2019 is an initiative by Ministry of HRD, AICTE, Persistent Systems, i4c and Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini.
